This year was the 60th anniversary of the granddaddy of ‘em all when it comes to custom car shows: The Grand National. In 1959, the first show was held in Oakland, CA and as a proud San Franciscan, I wish it was still there. But, like an old girlfriend, if it had to leave town to move on with its life, the Pomona Fairplex is as good as any, I guess.
