Here it is, kids: our first online contest! This motor was down at Bruno Gianoli’s place in South City and we were completely stumped over it. If you can just tell us ANYTHING about this thing – not even anything completely specific, you’ll win!
“But what will I win, Stoner?” you ask – well, you’ve got every right to ask. Your prize will be something from our storage shed – uh, I mean PRIZE VAULT. It could be anything and we’ll decide when we hear from you, but rest assured it’ll be something totally bitchin. Maybe a few sets of new heels from shoots if you’re a chick. Maybe a few t-shirts if you’re a dude. Maybe a few pairs of heels and shirts if you’re a dude from here in San Francisco. Whatever. But trust us when we say you’ll dig it.
So, just drop us a line and tell us what you think this motor might be. And we’ll give you a few hints: it’s a factory deal and there weren’t very many of them built. Hollah!

that is a one-off engine that was used used in a pikes peak hillclimb car, it looks like a V-8, but is actually a “U”-8 two L- 4’s with TWO crankshafts (allow’s less crank flex) synchronized by morse chain drive (similiar to the front wheeel drive Toronado’s drive train). As the class was a “restricted class”, that is what the plastic membrane in the carb inlet is for.
