An old buddy of mine from the Washington, DC area, is a hotrodder. But he’s into VeeDubs. Now, that doesn’t mean Jason is any less a real hotrodder – he builds his own motors, modifies his cars, makes his own stuff…hell, I’ve even seen him attempt as many different personalized VA license plates as he could in one year (there was some weird loophole he found in the VA DMV code that allows you to change personalized plates, like, once a month or some craziness. I think he had “GRLH8R” or something when he broke up with his girlfriend one month…).

Take a look at the bomber-style seats he’s building out of VW stock (here) and (here) – neat stuff. If that ain’t the spirit of hotrodding, I don’t know what is.
