Buddy and photographer Jay Watson sent this flickr page over last week: a club of Japanese hotrodders (of sorts) that seems to focus on, uh, customizing their, uh, cars. In general, I can see where they’re going with the effects: extreme extremities seems to be the order of the day. But I’d love to know where the idea for cow-pushers under the front fascia of these things comes from. I mean, what brought that on? You talk to a hotrodder and there’s a basic, sound reason for just about everything if you dig back far enough. And there must be a reason for these platforms beyond staging a few thigh-high boot-clad dancing chicks on them for parades and such (see below for examples of them). Or, maybe not…
