This is one of those great ideas whose time has come: a garage/mens club/hideaway for the project cars you don’t want your wife/girlfriend/life-partner to find out about. For a monthly fee to The Pirates Cove, you can stash that Model T carcass you picked up or that ‘49 Olds you just couldn’t help yourself to at the swapmeet or that Indian Scout basketcase you secretly bought on Ebay and noone will be the wiser.
The good folks at The Pirates Cove know that sometimes you just can’t bring that project home – for any number of reasons – but your soul won’t be fulfilled if you don’t own it. So, make an excuse that’ll keep you out of the house for a few hours, bring the heap down to P-Cove’s discreet warehouse, flash your membership card and your secret’s good with them.
And unlike other storage places, you can work on your car/bike/boat right there in comfort and to top it all off, there’s a fully-stocked bar to take advantage of with your fellow Pirate brethren. What could be better?
The first Pirates Cove is opening in the San Francisco Bay area, but we’re told that expansion is planned eastward. Monthly billing is discreet and the owners have your best interests in mind. Sound good? Drop us a line here at the shop and we’ll give you more info – they don’t have a website for obvious reasons, Jack.
